Doubt. (Open.)

Myles made his way down the familiar halls of Base 51928. Even though he was a year younger then the law's terms to enter here, he had still been accepted for his vast knowledge. The lad may have been smart, but he still had much more to learn.

Chase walked up to the entrance of the building, wearing a black wig, a hoodie, gloves, sunglasses, a trench coat, some sleek black pants, and black shoes. He wasn't "officially" allowed to enter the building, but being the founder of the micro-nation, he was given some unique benefits... all for good reason of course. With two Airs behind him, he walked into the meeting room. Only Earths were let in on the fact he came here, and even the Airs who escorted him had no clue who he actually was. His name among the base was "Bun". Any Air or Earth who even said that name outside of The Base was punished harshly.

Ooc: Chase is kinda a character who does what he wants... he gets away with things, which is kinda comical and an annoyance to the other characters.

Myles noticed a group of people heading to the meeting room. He saw Bun and nodded at the other as in a quiet greeting. The young Earth knew he was never allowed to mention Bun's name outside of The Base, for if he did he would immediately be punished. --So he kept his mouth shut about the mysterious fellow.

There was something about that guy that seemed off. Not the weird, off. -More of the fake, off if you get what I mean. Not to mention he had a weird, yet familiar voice. Although Myles knew never to question the fellow.

Chase sighed, sitting at one end of the table. Toward the other end was the head Earth, a respectable old fellow, who- much to Chase's annoyance, has yet to choose a successor. Chase would already have to subject the new Earth to interrogation before he could be trusted: he didn't want to have to pick the successor too. After all, he didn't have time to personally get to know any of these people! Doing so would both interfere with his schedule, and would mean risking his identity... he couldn't do that. This meeting would hopefully settle some of those matters.

The Earth watched as the three entered the room, disappearing. Sighing, he collected some paperwork that he needed to bring into the meeting room to the head Earth. Once he had gathered everything he quickly made his way to the door Bun and the two Airs had gone in.

Myles knocked quietly two times on the door, afraid he'd been interrupting something important.

"Come in" Chase said, motioning with his hand for the Earth to sit down. "I was planning on calling all the Earths to the meeting anyway." As soon as Chase said that, the Airs nodded and left to call the Earths to the meeting room. Chase glanced at the younger Earth, who seemed a little nervous, then turned his gaze to the older Earth. Chase didn't understand why he was so insistent on not picking an heir. It irritated Chase. Did the old guy WANT Chase to go through the tedious process of finding the best successor?! There wasn't much time to do so, with the current projects going on, which already required almost every available hand there was on site! Chase sighed, looking at the Earths as they shuffled in. It always surprised him when he realized they couldn't see through what he considered to be a simple disguise.

Myles nodded, quickly handing the head Earth the papers that were in his grasp. After he did so, he sat in a nearby seat which was in front of 'Bun'. "S-sorry." He whispered, glancing to the two of them.

"Sorry?" Chase asked, confused by the random politeness. However, he couldn't get an answer before several other Earths shuffled in and took their seats. Chase sighed. Many of them were either too young or too old when he considered a successor... he'd eliminate the possibility of those over 60 as successors automatically. Pointing them out, he called for them to be dismissed, leaving a bunch of confused young people looking around the room for an explanation as to why they were randomly dismissed. "Young people are extremely annoying" Chase thought to himself. "Okay, ladymen and gentlegals, please fill out this... quiz." A quiz was a good way to eliminate some people, at least. He didn't know how long this would take, or how long he had.

The young Earth stifled in a laugh at the "Bun's" wording. A quiz..? What for? The man questioned himself, confused. Oh well. Myles sighed.

Chase grabbed a copy for himself and looked it over. It was a standard sort of quiz about your experience and knowledge, and at the very end- what changes you'd make to the base if you were the head of it. He smirked as he imagined the answers these very uniform, elite people would give, in hopes of being the next successor.

'Hm.. Seems fairly easy enough. Should be a breeze.' Myles hummed to himself as he looked over the sheet of paper. Soon everyone was writing their answers down. Myles was the third to complete his, as he took in some time as to what changes he'd make.

Chase glanced at the boy who just turned his in. "Why does he look so happy?" Chase thought, a little interested. Shrugging, he figured it was noth- Fuck!" His watch had just fallen off his wrist. He looked at the boy in front of him. Had he noticed? He'd have to talk to the boy later. What he'd do if the boy figured him out- he had no clue.

Myles' eyes darted to the floor as the taller's watch had fallen off his wrist. Being a person of mannerisms, he picked it up and handed it to him. "Your watch, S-Sir."

The Earth didn't dare look into the other's eyes, deciding to head back to his seat. The boy let out a breath of air he had been keeping in, while adjusting his glasses at the same time, nervously.

Chase looked at the boy. He was practically shaking! Trying to keep a straight face, Chase readjusted his watch, hopefully so it wouldn't fall like last time. He still needed to make sure the boy had no clue who he was- but he'd do that later. He waited for everyone to turn their papers in. Once he did that, he'd collect them and go over them tonight at his other house- the one he went into to make sure nobody was following him. It was comfortable; an apartment of sorts, though since he was there simply for work, it wasn't nearly as much fun for him.

Soon everyone had turned their papers in. Some were turned in fast, others were turned in.. well, let's just say a bit 'slower than they should have'. Myles sighed, running a hand through his hair. He waited to see when everyone was allowed to leave. --He should be going home soon, as well. Surely they wouldn't keep him in there much longer..

Chase stood up, bowing to the Earths sitting around him before beginning. "As soon as I call your name, please leave immediately." Grabbing a paper containing the list of names, he started calling out the different names of each Earth. Fortunately, he had heard somebody whisper and point to the younger Earth before he had decided to call out names, so he knew the name of the person he wouldn't call out. "Myles huh? Hopefully I won't scare him too bad..." Chase called the names out in a random order, so the younger Earth wouldn't find it suspicious that his name was skipped over. Once everyone left, the Airs shut the door, leaving only Chase, two Airs, and the head Earth in the room with him.

The young Earth was confused. 'How come I wasn't callled..? Surely there must be a mistake.' "U-um, excuse me, S-Sirs.. May I ask as t-to why my name wasn't called?"

Chase sat down in his seat again, calmly meeting the young Earth's gaze. He had to be absolutely sure this Earth would never figure out who he was, or there might be a disaster. "Do you know who this watch belongs to?" He held up his wrist, revealing a silver watch with very fine words along the sides of it, almost but not quite impossible to read. He waited for a response from this Myles kid. If Chase even had the slightest suspicion he was lying, he'd execute the boy. He'd rather have a smart Earth, rather than one who doesn't know when and where to withhold the truth.

"It looks familiar, yes." He said, his voice immediately showing no trace of shyness.

Chase stood up, coming closer until he was right in front of the younger Earth. "Myles... it would mean a lot if you could tell us who this watch belongs too. We don't want to harm anyone, but we do need this information." He spoke smoothly. It could almost be mistaken for kind, except for the intimidating threat behind it. It was the best way to get information out of the younger Earths, and yet Chase had to admire that unlike one of the more foolish Earths he'd deal with, Myles did now cower in fear or absolutely refuse to give information.

"Hm. Looks a bit like Chase's. --The founder of our country." Myles kept his composure, not daring to look at any of them in the eye.

"Take him." Chase commanded, and soon two Airs were at Myle's sides. They took both his arms, and escorted him out of the room, across the field and toward a black mysterious car. Chase quickly got into the car, not yet taking off his disguise, as he, Myles, and the two Airs drove off. Where to, they wouldn't tell Myles.

"W-what?? Where are you t-taking me? I demand to know this i-instant!" The young boy stuttered, scared at the situation.

"Quiet." Chase commanded, continuing to drive. After a while, they finally came to a fairly large house. "Contact this young man's parents. For now, take him to the Guest's room." He walked off, leaving the Airs to do as he commanded.
