The Beginning (Open RP)

People dashed this way and that, crossing streets, entering and leaving shops. Children walked with their parents, or dragged them along, begging them to buy the latest toy. Chase smiled as he watched from the small coffee shop window, drinking the herbal tea they offered. Everyone seemed so happy in the world he created. He thought of the people who came here with him, or joined him later, and smiled. How had he come so far in his short life? However it happened, he was happy it did. The Elemental Clan was a paradise to him, and he'd make sure nobody'd destroy his world...

Xander ran a hand through his curly, hazel brown locks, sighing quietly. He waved goodbye at the couple who had just purchased a few goods from him. It was a nice day outside, sunny, with a cool breeze. The male had always loved the outdoors. Then again, he was raised that way. A young woman made her way to him, carrying a basket of his produce. He smiled at her and had her pay. She said goodbye and walked away.

Shinobu walked and stared blankly at the sky. He carried his burden oblivious to the people around him.

Chase sighed as he finished his tea, before getting up and walking out the shop's door. Despite the warm weather, he still wore a turtleneck. Looking around, he noticed a familiar face. Xander! He was amused to see the cheerful young man helping others. When Chase thought about it though, he realized Xander was only a few years younger then him. How did Xander end up with Chase's older brother, he had no clue.

Circumspectly, Arcadius was surveying over the the marketplace. He wanted to make certain that the peace was maintained within the area, and since the person who was originally meant to study the happenings of the area had fallen ill, he decided to take the role upon himself. He was actually a freelance writer. He didn't mind it, however, since he also got to view another man of whom he fancied.

The Four had noticed Chase and waved at him, a smile on his usually always happy face. He chuckled quietly to himself as he saw that the Water had still chosen to wear that darn turtleneck, despite the heat. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Arcadius and he immediately blushed, his smile growing bigger. The male found himself get somewhat distracted from his work, as he had a man who had gotten impatient from the lad's lack of tallying up the price of his purchase.

Chase approached the store, noticing his brother out of the corner of his eye. Though he loved his brother, they were rivals as well as friends. After all, Fire and Water were opposites for a reason. His job was to accept or deny the laws, and his brother's job was to rebel against it. He looked around the shop, not noticing anything of interest, besides being curious about the boy who worked there... his brother-in-law. It still fascinated him how his brother chose a lower-class over someone at least his rank.

Noticing the higher-rank in his shop, he greeted him. "Oh hey, Chase. Is there anything I can help you with?" Xander offered, looking up at the taller. The male had his usual green work apron that was tied around his neck and waist.

Shiki pushed through the crowd ,walking in on silent dancers feet He needed supplies,man could not live on love of the stage alone .He glanced around observing the people gathered before starting towards his favorite produce shop .

Chase looked at Xander, wondering why he seemed so happy. "Not much, but do you only sell produce here?" He was more interested in talking to this guy, he admitted, then exploring the store.

As Arcadius was watching over the people in the marketplace, he saw his brother, Chase, having a conversation with Xander. He was curious of what they were talking about, until he noticed a commotion going on in the crowd...

He walked through the produce selecting what he desired ,noticing out of the corner of his eye the conversation between an unknown man and the shop keeper , He hoped nothing was wrong and his frown became even deeper .the shop keeper was always nice ,albeit a bit quiet but Shiki really wasn't one to talk there,he was far from an expert conversationalist .

"Yep, mostly." He chuckled to himself, leaning forward against the counter he was behind. "There's extra stuff like cards, lip balm, keychains.. Just the small things." The shorter boy gestured to another section in the store that was filled with little nit-knacks.

Chase looked, but it soon became obvious he wasn't interested in those things. Before he was going to leave, however, he turned back to Xander "What time to you get off work? We should hang out today, or perhaps some other time." Chase's position was that of a gentleman, polite and well-mannered, but even if it wasn't today, the way he emphasized "maybe" implied there would be another time.

Shiki made his way up to pay for his supplies ,patiently waiting for the shopkeeper to finish his conversation but unable to help raising one eyebrow in question at him.

Arcadius noticed that a bunch of people congregated within the crowd. Two figures were visible in the center, one of them was on the ground with the other looking upon them.

The boy was surprised at the invitation. Since when did Chase actually want to hang out with him? He thought he'd be busy.. But Xander didn't mind it. "O-oh, in a few hours I should be done for the day. I wouldn't mind hanging out with you." He smiled at the taller.

Chase smiled "Okay then, I'll meet you here once your shift's over." With that, the young Water walked away to his car. He didn't even need to know the exact time to be there, since he could find all that out, in a small community like this.

He stepped up to pay for his purchases "friend of yours?" he asked voice flat , but unable to help his curiosity .

Shinobu gave a sarcastic grin and yawned, he was tired and bored

I begin to read "This place is certainly busy. We should be careful of who we talk to"

The one on the ground appeared middle aged, as the other was looking down upon them. The one standing appeared young, had long black hair, and was clutching their head. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" The one on the ground barked. "I'm sorry," responded the other, "I hadn't seen you there." They held out a hand for the other, but they ignored it and got up on their own. "Damn beggars," the middle aged one mumbled to themself. The black haired one had appeared displeased.

Chase looked at the gathering, but didn't understand it. Seeing his brother, he walked over to him. "What happened here?" he asked, confused.
